We are looking for teachers who are excited by the prospect of an “imaginative curriculum [that] opens pupils’ minds to possibilities”, and who can deliver a real impact within, and perhaps beyond, their own classroom to enable our school to grow even further.
2 days a week, 44 weeks a year
Salary Grade KR8 (£25,238 – £28,781 FTE)
St Thomas’ Catholic Primary School seeks to appoint an experienced School Business Manager to manage all aspects of the financial and business services of the school. The successful applicant will be part of the school’s Senior Leadership Team, manage the school finances, personnel. Contracts and premises, including health and safety processes and procedures. They will be the line manager for the administration and facilities teams and will be required to offer comprehensive and strategic support to the Headteacher and leadership team. The role requires flexibility, tact and problem solving on a daily basis. Therefore, it is essential that the applicants are professional, approachable and very effective communicators.
The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate:
- relevant professional qualifications and business acumen
- strong financial and administrative background, with proven track record of financial management
- evidence of successful management of a diverse team
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- ability to work under pressure and be able to meet deadlines
- high standards to do a really good job at all times
- flexibility and a ‘can do’ attitude.
Previous experience of working as a School Business Manager is an advantage but not essential. We are seeking first and foremost someone with a strong financial background with a genuine commitment to helping us deploy the resources available to best possible effect in a school context. Appropriate professional development and training will be available to address any skills gaps in the successful candidate.
