Welcome to St Thomas’ Catholic Primary School
Here at St Thomas’ we recognize that education is not merely for its own sake but for the full development of every human person. Therefore we aim to develop and encourage each individual child to reach their full potential in all areas of the curriculum. We aim to do this within an atmosphere of love, trust and respect in partnership with you, the parent.
The goal of a Catholic Education is shown to us clearly in the person of Jesus Christ and in the Gospel. Education is directed towards the full development of every human person whom we understand as made by God in his image and likeness.
At St Thomas’ the Catholic faith is central. It inspires our mission ‘Learning in the Light of Christ’, directs our work of teaching and learning and offers us a vision for the goal of human life.
St Thomas’ is a happy, forward-looking school with a history of success. Within a caring environment, based on the recognition of the dignity and worth of each child, high standards are expected. Social, emotional and spiritual development is emphasized and fostered along with the pursuit of academic excellence.
We are an outstanding school (Ofsted 2014) and very proud to be part of the Kent Catholic Schools' Partnership (KCSP).
We hope our website provides a flavour of school life, but you are most welcome to “come and see” us and experience firsthand our unique atmosphere at the school.
