Autumn

In Maths this term we have been learning to order and partition numbers within five. We have been growing in confidence in using cherry diagrams and bar models and comparing using ‘greater than’, ‘less than’ and ‘equal’.

Maths

Our Science topic this term is Plants. We have learnt about the different parts of the plant and the important jobs they have. We have compared tree trunks to see which one was the thickest and identified trees by their leaves. We learnt the difference between evergreen and deciduous trees, and how to recognise them by their leaves.

Science - plant enquiries

We completed our first forest school day this term. We had great fun lighting the fire, cooking popcorn and marshmallows, playing games, making clay hedgehogs and bug hotels!
