Summer

A wonderful day out at Aylesford Priory to celebrate the Jubilee Day Year of Hope with schools from all over Southwark Diocese.

We had a lovely day studying the flow of our local river, the Darent. We also learned about the iron age settlers of the river valley and made some 'round houses' on the site where they once lived.

Our seconday school 'taster' day at St Gregory's in Tunbridge Wells included making biscuits, using chemistry to solve a crime scene and making a pop art display.

As part of our learning about Scandinavia, we made print versions of Edvard Munch's famous painting and lithograph, The Scream.

Staff and students from St Gregory's Catholic High School led us in a fun Maths Workshop with some very challenging problems and puzzles.

Our paintings for the school Art Exhibition were inspired by David Hockney's Spring in Woldgate series.

We enjoyed another day of Forest School. We explored the creatures and plants in the area, learned safe sawing and drilling, cooked delicious savoury wraps and finished with marshmallows round the campfire.

We had a wonderful two days at Bowles Outdoor Activity Centre. Everyone challenged themselves, supported each other, learned a lot and had fun!
