Our Catholic Life
Our Catholic Life
The Catholic life of the school is rich in opportunities for children to encounter God and to deepen their relationship with Him as a loving, compassionate Father. Through prayer, liturgies and Religious Education lessons and through the relationships and support for each other, we enable children to come to know and love God. Displays of work in RE are of very high quality and can be seen in classrooms and all around the school, including the school's main reception area. Each class has a prayer focus area, with a liturgical cloth in the appropriate colour.
Crucifixes are present in every room in the school, highlighting the underlying belief that everything that we do at our school is founded on our Catholic faith. The Christian values at the heart of our Catholic faith incorporate the British values and we aim, in everything that we do, to further each child's sense of commitment and responsibility to themselves, to others and to the wider world.
Prayer and Worship
Prayer and worship are central to the daily life of our school. We aim to provide opportunities for children's spiritual growth and development through participation in worship. In this way we aim to help the children to come to value and respect the power of prayer and its place in their relationship with God.

Christmas Wishes for our local Care Homes
Thank you to the children for making lots of lovely gifts to send to our local care homes. Normally, we would entertain the residents with carols singing and orchestral pieces. However, this year we thought we would send in little Christmas gifts and messages instead.
Altar Servers
Congratulations to our Y6 children who were attended Aylsford Priory to receive their service Altar Server Medals.
A beautiful service and everyone was very proud to receive their blessed medals.
Passion Play 2021
This year we held our Passion Play outside in the playground due to covid restrictions. We all found this to be a very calming space to remind ourselves of Christ's sacrifice. We thank the Y6 children who led us through Jesus' final journey. Thanks also to Fr. David who came for the to bless the children as we reflected on Jesus' death.
Fratelli Tutti
Our children created a poster to promote the message from Pope Francis that we are all one family.

Virtues to Live By
“I have come that they may have life and have it to the full.”
John 10:10
“Virtues to Live By” enables us to explore each virtue over a three week period (two per half term) to improve the school community’s virtue literacy and to deepen understanding and appreciation of the essential role the virtues play in the education of the whole person towards human flourishing. The virtues chosen are common across cultures and faiths, but are sourced from the Christian tradition.
