International Day - we learned all about South Korea: geography, language, culture, music, food, costumes and games.
We made Ancient Greek-style kraters and painted them.
We have enjoyed this term's science topic - finding out about the life cycles of animals and plants.
Aspirational home or environmentally-friendly house? Maybe both? We built tiny houses to practise our architectural skills.
Spending a day as Ancient Greeks! We acted out dramas of Theseus and the Minotaur and Pandora's Box. We tried Greek food and held a mini-Olympic Games, complete with Hoplite relay race.
We had a wonderful two days at Bowles Rocks Activity Centre near Tunbridge Wells. Everyone challenged themselves and achieved even more than they thought they could.
We visited the British Museum to explore the Parthenon Sculptures and the wonderful Ancient Greek artefacts.
We designed and made sets for the tragic narrative poem The Highwayman by Alfred Noyes.
A visit from our town Mayor, Councillor Rachel Parry.
A term of workshops exploring Shakespeare's Midsummer Night's Dream with teachers and students from Sevenoaks School.
Lacrosse
It has been great fun learning to play lacrosse this term. Turned out to be a little harder than it looked!
Scandinavia
We have enjoyed learning about the countries of Scandinavia this term. Students have completed fact posters about the physical geography of Sweden, Norway and Denmark and have explored the work of Norwegian artist Edvard Munch, making prints of his famous painting, The Scream.
